WiMAX Overview

WiMAX (Worldwide interoperability for Microwave Access) is a new wireless technology enabling the delivery of wireless broadband services anytime, anywhere and has been identified by many industry analysts and technology commentators as a "hot" technology for 2008. WiMAX is a global standard based on the IEEE 802.16 and ETSI HiperMAN specifications. It has both mobile and fixed applications, On-Communications are using the fixed application to deliver guaranteed performance broadband connections for business customers.
