Extricom Enterprise WLAN means choice without compromise: supporting multiple and diverse applications from a single infrastructure at maximum performance. Extricom's deployment simplicity and operational flexibility means the investment you make to achieve today's goals will continue to deliver results throughout the system's life.
Powered by Channel Blanket™ technology, Extricom provides the vendor-agnostic building block you need to deploy whatever your business requires. Extricom WLAN is an IEEE 802.11-compliant solution unlike any other before it, revolutionizing the Wi-Fi experience for both IT administrators and users.
In summary, Extricom's technological breakthroughs accomplish what has not been possible before: radically cut the complexity of Enterprise WLANs, while significantly increase performance in all critical areas: coverage, capacity, mobility, and Quality of Service.

Switches
The Extricom WLAN Switch family is the key building block for a new generation of business-class wireless that scales to any size, from a single office to a multi-building corporate campus.
Every member of the Extricom switch family is built around the unique Channel Blanket architecture, including support for multiple blankets from the same AP, TrueReuse, 802.11i security, built-in Power Over Ethernet (PoE) injectors on all ports, and centralized configuration, management and monitoring.
GbE Products
The EXSW-1600 and EXSW800G switches provide Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) connectivity for up to 16 or 8 Extricom UltraThin APs respectively. These switches offer the full performance of multiple 802.11n and legacy blankets.

The EXSW-1632C/EXSW-1600C Wireless LAN Switch Cascade, Extricom's newest switch product, scales Channel Blanket architecture by extending the continuous mobility zone to twice its previous size - an area covered by 32 APs. The Switch Cascade also provides a fully redundant wireless LAN infrastructure to eliminate a single point of failure and support high-availability scenarios.

FE Products
In the FE family of switches, a number of different port-density options are available, ranging from 4 to 24. Each port connects to a multi-radio Extricom UltraThin AP through a single standard Cat 5e/6 cable. Any mix of switches is possible, to enable maximum flexibility and tailoring to each deployment.
The EXSW400, EXSW800, EXSW-1200, and EXSW-2400 WLAN Switches provide Fast Ethernet connectivity for up to 4, 8, 12, or 24 Extricom UltraThin APs respectively.

Access Points
Extricom's UltraThin Access Points are high-bandwidth network devices, containing multiple standard 802.11 radios. Extricom APs are "UltraThin" because they have no software, and require no configuration. This makes them fully interchangeable, enabling truly plug-and-play installation. APs are connected to the Extricom WLAN Switch via standard Cat5e/6 cables.
With all intelligence residing in the Switch, APs may be placed as close together as necessary to provide high-quality, high-speed connectivity from all locations within the enterprise. In this respect, the Extricom deployment philosophy is similar to that of wired networks: simply place APs wherever service is required, based solely on the grade services desired (i.e. connection rate), without any of the interference, channelization, or coverage/capacity constraints seen in traditional WLANs.
EXRP-20 Two-Radio UltraThin AP

The EXRP-20 uses two IEEE 802.11 a/b/g radios to power dual Channel Blankets. The EXRP-20 can be deployed in any density, with simple mounting and no external power sources needed.
EXRP-40 Four-Radio UltraThin AP

The EXRP-40 is an industry-first four-radio access point, containing four IEEE 802.11 a/b/g radios which can operate on any combination of four non-overlapping channels in any band. The EXRP-40 brings unmatched capabilities, including a quadrupling of capacity, predictable Quality of Service, and the flexibility to fully leverage all channels in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
