If your primary connection fails you then pay for the additional capacity used during the failure period. This provides a highly cost effective and truly diverse routed backup connection, with no risk of cable damage from road works or flooding. Diverse Backup is available at symmetrical bandwidth options of 2Mb, 5Mb and 10Mb.

Assured Backup
Based on our standard Fixed Wireless Access service, Assured Backup is available in a range of symmetric bandwidth options up to 10Mb and 100Mb, providing guaranteed performance with the additional benefit to "burst" at up to double the contracted bandwidth. Assured Backup is ideal for applications requiring a fully redundant backup connection that matches the specification of a high capacity leased lines and fibre connections.

Backup Internet Access
The Business Continuity Institute (www.thebci.org) broadly defines Backup Internet Access as being delivered from an alternate exchange from the Exchange delivering the Primary Access and critically with a different route into the building (i.e. not using the same underground ducts) which in most cases rules out multiple fibre providers as they typically use the same transit pathway into the building.
Business Continuity for Internet Access has been very expensive!
Until now, the only means of providing true business continuity has been very expensive secondary connections provided from alternative BT Openreach exchanges. This has been largely difficult, if not impossible, to cost justify, and often the secondary connection can only be fed into the building through the same 'buildings communications duct' as the primary connection, thus potentially negating its effectiveness.
