Bjorn Norrbom - Chairman & Non Executive Director
With a BA from Stockholm University and speaker of eight languages, Bjorn has enjoyed senior executive positions in numerous Scandinavian and Arabic State Owned or Incumbent Telecommunications and IT Companies. Most recently Bjorn was invited to work for Qtel, Qatar's incumbent operator. Previously he was the Chairman of the Swedish national Telco, Telia's Scandinavian businesses. His prior role was as President of the enterprise business unit (Telia Megacom), which he both proposed and was responsible for spinning out from the main company. He has also been working in the venture capital arena, both as a senior advisor and in various board of directors positions, both in listed and privately held companies.
Godfrey Anderson - President & Non Executive Director
Godfrey is the majority shareholder and co-founder of On-Communications along with Ian Roberts, Chief Executive Officer. ?On? is part of Godfrey?s business portfolio which includes property and interests in international telecommunications services , where he runs a market leading, business to business value-added telecommunications service, with operations in the UK, RoI, USA and Mainland Europe.
Ian Vance MBE - Chief Technical Advisor & Non Executive Director
A specialist in radio engineering, with an MBE for contributions to British radio engineering, Ian holds amongst many other honours, a Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineering. He is an advisor to the government, and also sits on a number of advisory Boards in the technology and Venture Capital spheres. Ian's distinguished career highlights include the roles of Vice President and Chief Engineer for Nortel Networks in Europe and previously Managing Director of the world-famous STL Laboratories in Harlow UK where fibre optics was invented.
Ian Roberts - Chief Executive Officer
Ian is the entrepreneur in the team, and the driving force behind On-Communications. In previous roles he has built several Telecommunications value added services businesses in both voice and data, from conception to market leadership positions in their respective fields over the last fifteen years. Once more Ian has surrounded himself with a top tier management team, and has set his stall out to create the UK's best wireless business to business communications company.
David Newland BA, FCA - Finance Director
A Chartered Accountant, David was formerly at Vodafone where he held various senior positions in the group from its inception. These included Financial Director of Vodafone Corporate, Vodafone Paging, and Vodafone Paknet, as well as Group Financial Controller for Vodafone Group plc.
Damian McDevitt - Chief Technical Officer
An IT specialist who was previously Head of Technology for Sanderson's, and CTO for e-go systems plc. At e-go, Damian was the architect of a leading unified communications service. He was responsible for the world's first third party service to become globally accredited with Cisco Partner status for their AVVID program. His service was also to be awarded a finalist's position in the World Communication Awards for 'World's most innovative service' alongside Orange.
Tim Granger - Business Development Director
A business to business, carrier to carrier specialist, who held senior management positions at AT&T and Global Crossing as Director of National and International Wholesale Carrier Sales. Tim has also spent time on both sides of the Venture Capital industry, and in radio technology sales where he was the Sales Director, UK & R.o.I for Finnish company Radionet Oy, now part of Airspan.
Jason Sharp - UK Sales Director
An experienced and accomplished telecoms sales professional who joined the industry with Energis during the telecommunications boom of the mid nineties. Jason held senior sales management positions responsible for enterprise clients at both Viatel and Future Group PLC before joining Vodafone. During his four years at Vodafone, he was Corporate Sales Manager for Converged Services and brings a wealth of industry experience and proven sales leadership to On-Communications.
Bob Scott - Director HR
Bob is a Board advisor and has an MBA from Cranfield University and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.
He has over 30 years experience in Human Resource Management, most of which was spent at AT&T. He was HR Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa, for AT&T from 1997 to 2003, and during that time he was part of the leadership team that took the company through a major change program of acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures.
Bob is currently a Visiting Lecturer at a number of Universities, specialising in the field of International HRM and Leadership & Change Management. He is also an HR Consultant and Executive coach.
